The fast-paced writing, the mystery of what happened to his crew, and Mick’s panic-stricken quest to stay alive in a strange future and get back home to his family creates an incessant need for readers to devour each new episode in this serialization. The action of the plot is interwoven with riveting flashbacks that depict Mick’s mistakes leading up to the loss of his marriage and the murder of his wife’s lover. Black Hull Episode 3

This book is a must read!! Episodes 1 and 2 were great but this one ties it together more for the reader. You know you are enjoying a book when you start rooting for a character. This is one of those types of books. Just long enough to be satisfied but short enough to squeeze it in during some free time. Joseph Turkot did it again!!

Mick has some playmates now as the story really gets rolling. But is everything really what it seems to be? Who are Sera and her bots? A little more is revealed of our hero Mick too.

Will Mick Make It Home?

The story has moved along with Mick and the droids, as well as Sera. Mick is now in a position to go back in time, called T-jump, and can choose to go farther back then he first thought he would go. Meaning, he can go back before she cheated. Before he committed a crime. He can go back and make things right. Or, he can go to Utopia and live forever. Of course, his source(s) of information have never been there, because no one ever leaves the perfect place.

I begin to wonder, is it what these "people" think it is? Would I do what Mick wants to, and go back in time? Or, would I go to Utopia, not really knowing if it is all it is supposed to be, with the hopes of being with my loved ones forever, in perfection? This episode has brought some questions to my mind and that makes it my favorite episode thus far.

Oh and things heat up a little bit with Sera...after all, if Mick goes back in time, it won't really matter...will it?

Great episode! Looking forward to number four.

Good read for regular readers of the series

Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith of the FBI has just accepted a transfer from San Francisco to Washington DC to work under Special Agent Dillon Savich of the FBI's CAU division. We first met Griffin in Backfire, with that story happening just a couple of weeks ago. He's just arrived in the area and was going to stop and see his sister Delsey, when he gets a call from Agent Ruth Noble (Point Blank) saying his sister survived an attack. Apparently she's a witness to something huge.

At the same time Savich and his Special Agent wife, Sherlock, are dealing with the very public death of the grandson of a former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank. The two are completely separate investigations, but the people involved in the investigations overlap and the story is told from a number of angles.

If you haven't read some of the prior books in this series you will probably have a harder time appreciating a number of characters; many of whom had been showcased as the `couple du jour' in prior books. There isn't a great deal of backfill given. I suggest starting with either The Cove or even The Maze. Each book in the series carries two investigations and Savich and Sherlock are in every book with a new couple introduced in each.

But for readers of this series, most will appreciate seeing so many familiar characters again along with some new interesting ones. Griffin is one-half this story's couple du jour and we might be seeing a second one advance in the future. The author's wit is evident throughout, as are dangerous situations.

Disappointing

I have been reading Catherine Coulter books for many years with her FBI series being my favorites. Bomb Shell has the characters and the story line but it did not read like one of the authors' books. I kept questioning whether she actually wrote this. I even went back to read some of Back Fire again to compare the style of writing. Bomb Shell just didn't "pull" me into the characters or the action like her former books. It felt more like reading a textbook. Whatever it was that happened, I was disappointed with this book.

Best seller - NOT!

This was very poorly written. It was disjointed and very predictable. The only reason it is a best seller is because of the author's name recognition. If she truly wrote this mess it will be the last Catherine Coulter novel I waste my time reading.

It's a sales pitch

To state this upfront, the question "how to write great blog posts" is not being answered in this booklet, the author merely suggests ways "how to market your blog post" while marketing his own material to you, the reader.

"How to write great blog posts that engage the reader" is just one more book of the thousands which are written by the same scheme:

1) The reader can get a free gift. (Nothing in life is free)
2) The author points out that with this gift he is giving away "some of my most guarded secrets" (How can these secrets be guarded when by time you download this free gift, thousands of others have already received it. This is nothing but an attempt to get your email address, so you can be pestered with more sales pitches.)
3) The words "blogging is big business" and "ANYONE can do it" are being thrown around. That in itself is a ridiculous thought. Surely you remember at least half a dozen kids in your high school classes who could not write one great sounding sentence much less a blog.
4) The author tells that his own 570 blogs have generated 345,000+ visitors. 345,134 : 570 = 605 unique visitors to each blog. This number does not sound that impressive.

Eventually the author addresses his title question - very vaguely:

"All you have to do is to think what people want and then create a collection of information that fills the need."

Yeah, wouldn't we all?

Steve Scott`s booklet continues to list a ton of steps, pitches, suggestions for pitches, and other facts, but nothing you haven't heard before, or could find out from others experts. His writing is interrupted by links to his website, which strongly suggests that this might be one way how he gets "unique visitors" to his blog.

There is absolutely nothing revolutionary or new in this booklet. It is a massive attempt to get the reader to submit his email address at the author's (and presumably affiliates') websites, most likely to be used for sales pitches. I did not submit my own.

Practical guide to get results

This book is a quick read but full of good information. The author discusses the blog writing as a job with the goal of attracting business. He distinguishes between two main type of posts: MVP (Massive Value Posts) and FP (Filler Posts). The MVP is a post that the reader will really love because of the high information content but is also the post that will take a lot of time to compose. The FP is the post that is shorter but is also very valuable with information that the reader can apply immediately. The author then lays out 19 ideas on how to present a post: lists, how-to, story, etc..

About the Author
Elizabeth Schmidt is Professor of History at Loyola University Maryland. She is the author of Cold War and Decolonization in Guinea, 1946-1958 (2007), which received the African Politics Conference Group's 2008 Best Book Award, and Mobilizing the Masses: Gender, Ethnicity, and Class in the Nationalist Movement in Guinea, 1939-1958 (2005), which received Alpha Sigma Nu's book award for history in 2008. Her 1992 book, Peasants, Traders, and Wives: Shona Women in the History of Zimbabwe, 1870-1939, was awarded a special mention in the Alpha Sigma Nu book competition for history, was a finalist for the African Studies Association's Herskovits Award and was named by Choice an 'Outstanding Academic Book' for 1994.

An essential resource for any scholar of sub Saharan Africa history, political science and international relations

Professor Schmidt has written a very clear, powerful review of the often troubled relationship between independent sub Saharan Africa, its former colonizers and the United States.
In addition to educating the reader about events, actors and consequences linked to this period Professor Schmidt's book is a sobering reminder of the challenges the continent still faces with continued economic interests she identifies here still driving policies and actions of powerful countries outside of Africa and African leadership for the most part, still not up to the challenge.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!

I loved this book I loved the characters and I loved how the author worded a very delicate situation with the main character. The book moved me to tears and made me rejoice. It gave me hope that someone somewhere was still fighting the good fight and winning. It was a story you could loose yourself in and become concerned with the lives of the characters.

Although the book did mention God and faith in Him it never came across as "preachy" or "churchy". You saw the struggle and humanity then, how the family's faith helped them.

Another Winner

This is the story of Cleo who, after escaping horrible abuse, marries a wonderful man and is living the good life with him and their children. She begins to have flashbacks of her former life and it all rushes back threatening to upset her happy home.

As usual Ms. Thompson takes her readers through an emotional roller coaster ride with one exciting twist after another turn. I had to unclench my fists and my jaw several times. Very real characters plus a believable plot equals a story you shouldn't miss.

Little Sister

Ms. Adrienne Thompson is such a gifted writer and she always leaves me wanting more. Her style of writing has a way of making her stories come to life so vividly in my mind. The novel Little Sister had my attention from the moment I started reading; I did not want to put it down. It is an emotional story of abuse, heartache, and loss for the main character Cleo but she overcomes it all with the power of love and the willingness to allow herself be free. Little Sister does not disappoint!
