Needs a little more meat on the bones

Peter Smythe is an excellent writer and I have been reading his stuff for over 3 years now. So when he started writing ebooks, I was more than interested in what he had to say.
Forgiveness is a big topic in the Christian faith. Unfortunately, Smythe--who prefers to write short, practical ebooks--did not go far enough into this topic.
For one, the way he presents forgiveness makes one wonder if he believes that Christians no longer need to confess their sins? In fact, I never saw any mention of 1 john 1:9 anywhere. He made his case and gave three examples of how forgiveness works after the cross.
Here is where it gets a little sticky.
There is a growing movement which teaches that the words of Jesus were uttered during the Old Testament period and, therefore, have little to no bearing on our lives as Christians living after the cross. Many have a problem with this. And Smythe appears to support this point in this book. But we do not know just how far he is into this belief because his book is so short.
The book is worth buying as are ALL of Peter Smythe's books. My review is not to put this book down but to simply say that the topic and the other points used to support his main point could have been fleshed out more so as to not leave the reader with lingering questions.

truth. The author takes a stand for truth in his own personal life and lives what he writes.
