Sandra Elzie was challenged by her husband in 2001 to not wait until retirement in 2005 to start writing the book he had been hearing about since their wedding. Picking up the gauntlet he had thrown down, she spent the next eight years honing her craft and finishing twelve manuscripts. She now lives in South Georgia with her husband and cat and enjoys reading, traveling, her three children, and four grandchildren. In Daddy `s Shoes

This is a great book. I truly enjoyed it. Such a good story. I could just see how this could happen. It was enjoyable to read each exciting part of the story would unfold. If you enjoy stories about family you should enjoy this one

Very touching book.

I liked this book a lot. The characters were believable and the problems about death and relationships to kids was used in a very comforting way. It also showed why a boy needs a responsible,caring man in his life.

Moving On

Moving on isn't easy, nor is a little boy being expected to be the man of the house. Both are required in this book for Brandon. When his day is killed in Iraq, people expect him to be strong for his mom. This tender book shows how they learn to be strong for each other and how to let someone new in.
